I made a Canon type G CD tray for my printer out of Lexan.
The tray lets you insert printable CD's and DVD's into your Canon printer and print right on the CD.
After a bunch of trial and error, I made a few adjustments and got it working properly.
I have more info, details and larger images on this page.

Is this for running a CD through a printer? If so, that's very cool.
Was the original Canon part useless?

yes, see the link I gave up above that explains all that.

You are a CAD/CAM god.

Hi Doug
I've seen you build your own CD Tray
have you think you can build a modifier Tray to be used to print little PCB ?

Yes, that is what I was going to do
I have another post showing the hacked printer pcb project

The printer did not work and so I put the project on hold.
I need to get another Epson like the one I tore apart to get the print head assembly.

Oh, I see
you want to build something like this
