Title: Grill cloth for Texas flag
Post by: Tiny_Daddy on October 03, 2010, 12:59:32 pm
A customer wants a Texas flag on the grill cloth. So I assume it is just painted on with aerosol cans. Should I just get the cheapest stuff that I can find> Will the paint stick OK to the usual plastic threads? Suggestions please.

Hey Big Daddy!

Krylon makes a line called "FUSION" that is designed for slippery plastics like grille cloth.

I've used the paint for its intended purpose and recommend it.

I would test on a scrap tho to make sure the plastic and paint is compatible.

I bought mine from the local hardware store, but I have seen it in walmarts too.

Krylon Fusion, thanks. Now to get just the right color of blue. Krylon "Patriotic Blue", maybe that's it.

I have no experience with them, but if the rattle-can option doesn't give acceptable results, these guys silk screen on grill cloth:
