What does the new wiring change you had for the clean channel pot do. Your Ideas please my friend. Bill

Honestly, just different. I don't have any strong feelings about one being better than the other. Both sounded fine.
I don't experience or hear one being superior tonewise. I'd be happy with either approach.
DaGeezer may want to chime in & may have a different take on this?

Thank You My friend I was just trying to learn maybe there was a tonal differance or one worked for one thing and the other for something else. Sorry for not getting your moniker right Tubenit not Tubnit (Doeh) I tried to fix it but it wouldnt let me go that way to fix it. Bill

Just pick one and try it ......... I think I have experimented with all of them on one build or another.

It appears that in the first case the level is used when on normal and cut out when in overdrive. In the second case that volume control is in use all the time putting 2 volume controls in line when in od.

Hi Guy's , While we are on the TOS subject i'll will add a tweak. I put in a switch to bypass my tone stack on the Clean. The dynamics are great, tone galore. The master adds to this change as well. Thanks
-
So Timbo what tone stack did you use I see two 500k pots instead of one 1m pot. Bill

Thanks for clarifying that for 67 polara I like mine with the clean in on that channel alone it allows more control of that channel I was also thinking of moving my tone stack to that side also I had set my clean volume third on my amp which goes volume tone then clean channel, so it would be an easy move . Thanks Bill

Bill, I moved my tone stack there also only I am using the Moonlight stack it is supposed to keep the volume and tone more independent. Check it out here http://amps.zugster.net/articles/tone-stacks (http://amps.zugster.net/articles/tone-stacks). I'm still waiting on a couple parts really beginning to upset me been 3 weeks. They say it's in the mail, but come on now 3 weeks! I relabeled the controls to Drive, "Balls", Tone and Volume for the Clean channel and Overdrive Tone and Volume on the Overdrive channel. LOL

I actually was paying attention when you guys were talking about that and I really like the look of that tone stack but havnt tried it yet. I would have printed that whole section out and put it on my wall of essential knowledge but it only prints out the first page. Tell me how you come out with that one, the 3 week wait thing would drive me crazy, I get antsy if its not here in 3 days. Bill
