Title: Interesting link about to identify Unknown Power Transformers Rating
Post by: kagliostro on November 07, 2010, 08:00:03 am
I find this link

http://www.diytube.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1465&start=7

There are two pages (page 24 and 25) from Electronics World july 1964

There is an article about how to identify Power Transformers Ratings

using two diagrams

I assume they refers to 60Hz, if someone knows how to read it for 50Hz I'll be happy to know

Thanks

Kagliostro

p.s.:

I'm looking for a best copy of this two pages, if you know were they can be find, please, let me know

Don't worry about it.

If the data were based on weight, there would be a large difference, maybe 20%. But the data is ohms per volt. A 50Hz design won't be the same as a 60Hz design, but very similar. The estimate is not exact. The difference 50Hz/60Hz is less than the uncertainty.
