Title: Recommendations - eBooks pertaining to tube amp building
Post by: theundeadelvis on December 01, 2010, 01:54:01 pm
First off, I apologize if this is not the appropriate forum for this topic. I'm wondering if there are any good eBooks out there, from the very basic to the advanced, about building amps, electronics in general, or anything else useful. I have an Android phone, and I want some good reading for when I'm out and about. I can download from Kindle, Nook, and most other sources. Just curious if anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks!

Have you looked at the "Useful References" sticky?

Jack Darr's book is a great starting point, but there are lots of other sources of free reference material.

The AX84 introductory pieces also are very good.

Your droid phone either can read pdf's or can download a free app to read pdf's.

MANY of the classic books can be found on Pete Millett's site linked on the Useful References page Chip mentioned.

You might need to download these to your computer, and pick n' choose which ones you keep on your phone and when. Some are quite large files... you might need your phone's memory for other things.

Cool, thanks guys! I can download files directly to the phone, pdf or ereader formats, or on my PC. Space isn't really an issue, because I can store the files on my home server and access them from there. I will look forward to some good reading!
