I have a recent 5f1 build that sounds great no issues. I put in a 4/8 ohm ot. STDP switch. I checked the switch before installing works fine. After installing I checked continuity. I have continuity from the chassis to all three post on the switch. Does this sound correct. The amp sounds fine guess it is correct. Just not sure

All taps are connected through the OT secondary winding. At DC (common ohm meter) they will be within 1 ohm of each other (winding impedance rises above 4/8 ohms only up in the audio band).
If your meter knows the difference between a DEAD short and 0.5 ohms, it shoud be closer to part-ohm than to dead-zero. Most utility meters don't handle sub-ohms well, rounding-down to a false "zero".
It plays. It isn't shorted.

PRR, thanks for the reply. It gets a little frustrating at times. I can put something together and get it to work, but I don't always understand why or how it works.

Thats how I roll also but I think that with time and enough doing it all comes together. And then the ladies are all over you all the time. Its like you can't get em off you true story.

Comparing amps to women? They all have a different power dissipation requiring various biasing adjustments on a continual basis to keep 'em running properly, and then a little positive reinforcement doesn't hurt? :toothy1: :whip2:
