Title: 6g15 style standalone reverb mods
Post by: LaszloS on December 15, 2010, 01:46:21 pm
I am redoing a Torevibe that i built about a year ago with a new layout.  the thread is here: http://www.el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=10663.msg97965#msg97965

but what i was wondering is: ia m using a 6v6 the current layout has no 470 ohm plate resistor essentially the 6g15 is like a champ driving a reverb tank so if i am using the 6v6 and not the original 6k6 is it a good idea to put this in?

cheers mates

You mean screen resistor, right? I wouldn't worry about it. Weber used a 6V6 with no screen resistor.

yes.  cool.  thanks very much i did finally find some more info on this and it seems like they are in the BF fenders only when the plate voltage really got high.
