Title: Gibson G80??
Post by: crashtm1 on December 26, 2010, 11:26:11 pm
Gibson G80 4x10 combo tube....
This is a hard one to find any info on... The front panel seems the same as a Super reverb...  Local seller and I've only seen pics.. Not in any of Webers books or Aspens..
Can anyone help me out...

I've got the Gibson amp book that came out in the last few years, I'll see if it's listed in it as soon as I get a chance and post it.

In my experience, any Gibson with a G number is solid state. Tube amps were GA. One thing I've learned, though, never take anything by Gibson for granted. They would change things on a whim.

Yeah, their right. Book says solid-state, 80w, 2 ch., 4 input, 4x10, combo, with verb, and trem, on ch. 2. Black tolex, with silver knobs and trim.

bluesbear is right, book says the G series is solid-state.
