Title: Anemic Fender RI Reverb
Post by: chuggy on January 01, 2011, 09:13:44 pm
My stock Fender RI Reverb sounds anemic.  All the controls work but the reverb effect is pretty weak when maxed.   I tried a different reverb pan, swapped out all the tubes, and checked the b+, cathode and plate voltages compared to the (incomplete) specs available on the schem in the Fender manual.  I have no significant experience with Fender PCB amps.   Any pearls/suggestions?

Thanks-
Jim R

If everything checks out to be good. Than it may be the Reverb Transformer.

Is a reverb transformer from a Princeton Reverb a suitable sub for the transformer in my Fender reissue stand-alone reverb unit?
Thanks-

No, but Doug has a transformer that is a good sub.
