Title: AC hum really bad
Post by: 67polara on January 10, 2011, 10:27:00 pm
OK, I said I was going to build the reverb into my head cabinet of my TOS.  OK the amp is dead quiet as long as I do not put the Reverb pan in the head as soon as I do that, AC hum big time.  Is there someway to shield the transformers from the pan?  Plan B would be to mount the pan in the speaker cab but that wasn't choice A.  Any thoughts?

Be sure the "output" end of the tank is at the opposite end of the cab to the PT.

OK I will try that now.  Yep problem solved I flipped it around and moved it all the way to the left and no noise dead quiet again

Thank you very much.

I have seen had a few amps latley that have the red input cable wired backwards

Switched the cables around and good to go.  I wonder why they do that!
