Title: Heathkit VTVM's up & running
Post by: jjasilli on January 12, 2011, 10:05:02 pm
Some time ago, one of my Heathkit IM-18 VTVM's died; the other one had arrived in non-working condition.  PRR & Hotblue gave me tips on how to fix them.  Installed a new rectifier diode and filter cap.  Cleaned dirty switch connections.  Repaired a test probe.  Finally go them working & calibrated.  Thanks guys!

Nothing like vintage equipment!

Try fixing a DMM!

I hope you get lots of good use out of it.

Makes me want to fix my old simpson 260.
