i have had it loaded... it's OK. library sux bigtime. for instance transistor lib has listing trans-1, trans-2 .. .. etc. why not NPN, PNP, MOSFET-N, etc.?
it's just hokey - i'm an old DOS version orCAD user - i wish i could afford a copy.

Yea, I'm still here...just busy as hell....
After I posted I looked at screen shots...and it reminded me of old DOS Orcad or PADS...no wonder it's free...
But even the big boy versions have marginal libs....I don't use PADS 9.2 stock libs...I make new parts from scratch anyway (using IPC and JPL 8208).

I'm done w/ the amp building thang......I just finished an AC-30 head clone, and that's the amp I always wanted to build anyway...
If you or Richard need parts...let me know...I'll send you a care pkg (like you guys need one LOL)

After I posted I looked at screen shots...and it reminded me of old DOS Orcad or PADS...no wonder it's free...
But even the big boy versions have marginal libs....I don't use PADS 9.2 stock libs...I make new parts from scratch anyway (using IPC and JPL 8208).

yey the that app is lame - the libs are def. roll your own - i guess it's really that way with all of the E-CAD stuff. i may give EagleCAD a spin. i loaded the "free" version and it seems like an app. i can live with. just don't know if it's worth the 600-1000USD to get something "useful".
so sad to hear you're ditching amp building... that does depress me since you seemed so fond of it at one time. hopefully, you'll change your mind.
that VOX clone is dandy! i adore the swirl pattern on the faceplate - mind if i/we plagiarize? :icon_biggrin: how does it sound?
we can always use a care pkg. :icon_biggrin: even if it seems like our homes are about to burst with "junk" there's always room for a just a bit more... send a list, i'd be happy to pay you for whatever you wish to unload. you have my email... if not send a PM and i'll get it to you.
don't be so scarce... drop by from time to time, if for anything, just to chat. :icon_biggrin:

timely too, just ordered a Gecko G540, smooth stepper, 48V PS and 4 new 387 oz in Nema 23 steppers.
Looking to replace those servos I keep burning up from running too slow.
I'll be cutting out the parts for that 4th rotary axis I been wanting all this time as soon as I get it all back together.

over in another forum you asked me for a schematic of the Burman Power Pak and preamp. That was last August! If it is OK with you I would like to base the drawing on your Burman schematics, to keep it all logical and easy. Would you be prepared to share the original files with me? I would keep you credited as author and handle it as a revision. I can use .sch and AutoCAD .dwg or .dxf files.
By the way Burman Pro 4000 bass amp came my way last year with a quad of '77s, I don't think that anyone has drawn that up yet either, have they?
Love the AC30, doing one myself too, out of wrecked ACs... now back to your thread folks.
