Title: Fusing for europe

I have an amp with  Hammond export transformer. If the taps are switched from U.S. voltages so it can run 220v/240v euro voltages how does one correctly fuse? I know the voltage rating of the fuse goes up. What about the current rating ( 2amp fuse in the U.S.)?

Use half-rated fuse. 1A.
