Sorry to give you disturbance PRR
About the Peavey 260s Booster Amplifier that you told to have many years ago
As I've asked here and there without any result
was a Booster amplifier (accept the output of another amp as input)
was a final amplifier (no preamp in it)
or was a standard input amp and a guitar can be plug in ?
as from the single sheet I've find the input is 0.9v RMS for 130W into 2 ohms
and also level control is able to accept a very wide range of input voltages including speaker levels
the name, Booster Amplifier, is confusing me
this days I have a little of fever so till now I can't do test on the amp and my mind is not on max
Many thanks

It connects to Line Out on another amp, a preamp, or (turned way down) to Speaker Out on another amp.
It will NOT accept guitar directly and give useful loudness.
You can adapt your iPod to the inputs and get full output.
Do NOT connect a speaker before you test for DC on the output. Put a plug in the Speaker Out jack, measure from ground to plug tip. 1V DC will not hurt a hi-power speaker. Less than 0.1V DC would be normal. 30V DC means the amp is VERY sick, won't play right, and WILL hurt speakers.
Please feel better soon.

Thanks PRR

I'll do exactly what you say
or (turned way down) to Speaker Out on another amp
so it is a booster but if I want to put in the input of the 260s the output of a 5W amp I must lower the power ?
If I understand well a dummy load connected to the little amp output must be used to lower the power than I can pick the reduced signal and put it in the input of the 260s ?
so the 260s isn't strictly a booster like those for car radio ???

I got the schematic
the draw was 1972 - revised 1980
do you think I can send it to Doug to be inserted in the Peavey schematic page ?
or it will be still under copyright ?
Thanks
