When I saw WWII I was assuming it would be about Bletchley Park, but I'd heard a bit about this sort of stuff too.  There is no minimizing the importance of the front line troops, but there is no question that without the organizational efforts behind it the war would have been much different.

If you look through all the pix, the last one shows an awesome tube computer chassis; mil-spec wiring.  Probably makes up one bit of memory!
