 grid stoppers?

On Hoffmans 5f6-a layout He has 1.5k resistors on pins 5 and 6 of the power tubes. Are these called Grid stoppers? What is there purpose? Should I put them on my Build? I used the original Fender schematic and Layout for mine and they don't have them on there. Thanks Mike.

Yes, those are grid stoppers. They suppress high frequency oscillation and tame blocking disortion.

I recommend using them.

Fender used 1500 ohm, Marshall 5.6K, Hiwatt 22K.
If the value is too high you might notice some loss of high end.
Ken
