I've seen this well build turret preamp (Slo X88R)
unfortunately were I find the photo the author of the job was unknown

as I like very much that build (you not ?) I would have the relative layout
does someone knows more of that turret X88R build ?
someone has a link to the layout ?

Looks VERY good.
A few bits of advice:
- Solder your wires to the top of turrets and form a nice dome of solder when doing so. It looks much nicer than wrapping them around turrets, especially for stranded wire.
- Next time you use radial electrolytic caps, consider installing the turrets from the "back" of the board and "dremeling" them into nice eyelets. That's what I did in my X88R - all caps in the power supply are radial. This way you'll be able to install the radial caps the way they were supposed to be installed.
How many X88R builds with radial caps can there be? Seems like a clue.

did you see ? ........... wires are soldered to the top of turrets
there is more of a clue
Unfortunately I've problems with my registration to the AX84 forum
