L100 organ missing percussion switches; L100 manuals; 2 L100 amps; 2 L100 percussion pre-amps; 2 L100 vibrato pre-amps; E 100 pre-amp; e100 power amp; h100 pre-amp and power supply; 1 h100 power supply and power amp; 3 spinet benches. And all the tubes that go with it.
I can get this for $100.00.
Is this a good deal for someone into guitar amps? Or is it worth it as an investment? Could I easily turn it for a profit?
Thanks in advance,
Al

Buy it.

Thanks for the quick response Dave. I guess it's worth it for the chassis and tubes, but that's just a wild guess. Can the transformers be used for guitar amps? Also, I don't think the organ is working now. The owner says the amps are removed, but included.

The Hammond stuff is very good quality. The power amps sell easily on ebay and fetch a decent price. The vibrato modules are useful if you are interested in a true pitch shifting vibrato. I've recently done two Hammond projects...

The power amp in the L-100 is a perfect candidate for an 18 watt EL-84 type amp. If you want to go that route, you could buy the organ, build an amp with the chassis then part out the rest of the organ. There are people out there interested in those Hammond parts.
Or, if you need an organ, you could bring it back to life. I've resuscitated a few of those spinet organs and they sound great. Like a home version of the B-3 (with a few less controls). Most you will find these days aren't working but they aren't dead. They usually just need to be re-oiled and a little TLC.
Although, the one you are describing already sounds like it is missing some of the switches. Who knows what else could be wrong with it.

WOW!!
That's what I said as soon as I saw that Warbler. As usual, beautiful, Steve.
I had already told the owner of the organ that I'd take it before I posted. Since I had read here that the Hammond stuff was good. I just wanted a little back up advice. Heck the piano benches might bring 50-60 bucks on cl for all 3.
bmack thanks for the input. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Real good advice.

Al
