Just curious if anyone knows the origin of an "Allen" 2x12 cabinet. It's not "Allen Amplification" but made in Houston, Texas.
Maybe made in the 70's?

If you're still curious . . .
Allen Lesikar owned Allen Amplification and was the go to guy for bands in the 60's in Houston. He did amp repair, converted Bogen PA heads for guitar use and made speaker cabinets. You could get cabinets with JBL's, Utah, or whatever else was available at the time for a lot less than buying a Fender cabinet. I think Gibbons of ZZ Top used him early on.
Enjoy

Marketleader--thanks! Man, I completely missed this reply in May.
That's good info; I've been able to find very little on my own. The cab itself is well made, with pine (or some type of white wood) sides. It sounds great!

Allen Lesikar owned Allen Electronics, not Allen Amplification. @gmoon what you have are Allen cabinets.

I own two Allen Houston 2x15 cabinets.

Allen Houston amps and cabs being used by The Moving Sidewalks (Billy Gibbons band before ZZ top) please excuse the poor quality - these are stills from a video
