Guys, I am not sure where to post this ......... so if one of the other moderators wants to move it, I am OK with that.
Sometime back, I built an FX-Reverb box to use with my Tweed Overdrive Special. (I've only used it within a passive effects loop and never tried it "in front" of the amp.)
Well, since then I've gotten a really nice Larrivee acoustic guitar that I'd like to use with the band on occasions.
The FX box is sort of an amplifier in itself, from my perspective. So my thinking is that I should be able to use this between the guitar and the D.I. box to go into the PA system.
I'm thinking the FX box is sort of a "buffer" (?) & that I can use the Boss digital delay & the reverb prior to the D.I. Having said that, I know little to nothing about this and could be waaayyy off track here.
Would this work? Think it would sound reasonable?
I'm thinking of this as an acoustic guitar amp that plugs into a PA system?

Seems like it should work but you might wanna hang a cathode follower off the output to lower Zout.

I say try it & see how it sounds.
Actually, I think you could get a good idea how it would work by putting it in front of an amp (set as clean as possible) & playing your acoustic thru it.
I use a similar setup, as follows:
Martin D16H with an LR Baggs I-Beam pickup,
into a Digitech RP7 (preamp off, just a little delay & reverb),
into an LR Baggs ParaAcoustic DI.
There it splits, one Lo-Imp send to the PA & a 1/4" send to my little 35w 1x8 powered floor monitor.
I know the RP7 is considered non-kosher, but it sounds great run this way, & I get lots of comments on how good the guitar sounds thru the PA.
I'm thinking your FX unit should give similar results........... :dontknow:
