Title: Midnight Cowboy - The ReVibe version
Post by: EL34 on April 07, 2011, 04:25:07 pm
Been meaning to re-record Midnight Cowboy.

Did not like everything about version 1.
This post has version 1 if you want to do a compare.

I kept the same backing track parts but re-recorded all the lead parts using my ReVibe.

I did straight reverb only parts and then reverb + vibrato parts.
They are mixed a bit left and right in several of the tracks so you can pan and hear the different parts.

I did not add any studio reverb
The reverb and trem are all ReVibe.
BTW, the reverb tank is the new 3 spring tanks from Korea that I stock. I think they sound great!

The player below should start playing as soon as this page loads

I like that alot! Gonna let my wife hear it, I know she'll like it to. Then she'll be happy when I tell her I'm gonna build one.    :think1:

Very good, IMO you nailed it, again. I guess you've done this kinda thing before?

Damn. That sounds so good. Seriously.  :worthy1:
Your previous recording of this convinced me i HAD to build a revibe, this new version is a cruel reminder that the build should be higher on my priority list.

That's beautiful!  What a sweet tone and superb playing.

Thanks for sharing it!  I enjoyed the listen.

Thanks guys

My new recording technique sounds way better IMO than the one I did with the dual microphones.
