Title: Acoustic & amp
Post by: tubenit on May 01, 2011, 04:37:04 pm
I recorded this with my Tweed Overdrive Special on the clean channel. It's my Larrivee koa guitar with a K&K Western pickup. I have been fiddling with the chording for this song for a while and finally got around to giving it a shot. I have been playing this guitar with a delay pedal thru the clean channel of the Tweed BluezMeister with the band have gotten some decent compliments on the tone.

with acoustic lead riffs:

Hey that sounds great Jeff!

I Like the added dimension the delay pedal gives it.

Hi guy's, As always sounds great. When you use the delay do you have before the input or in the FX loop. Thanks

Thanks for your nice comments.  I use the digital delay in the FX loop. It's very very quiet in the loop and obnoxiously noisey in the front end.

Dang, I just now saw this. That is beautiful guitar work! Is it an original piece?

And what sort of setting do you use on your delay pedal, and what brand is it?

Thanks for the nice comment!  I do not consider myself much of a guitarist when I hear EL34 & Geezer & some of the other guys playing.  On a really good day, I might reach mediocre.  Yes, it's something that I've written.
 :l2:

I use a Boss digital delay that has 4 knobs and is white.  From left to right, I have the knobs set at 9:00, noon, noon, noon. Sorry for the lame answer, but I don't have the pedal in front of me.

I just started playing acoustic with the band about 2 months ago and have enjoyed it. A guy that's just been playing only for a couple of years is now playing electric and his ear to pick out stuff is waaaayyyy better then mine. He will become an amazing player if he stays with it.

Hey Jeff!

That sounds like an un-plugged version of a grand 80's power ballad!  Great stuff!

Although I have to ask.....was any fire or explosions involved in making this?  It seems to be lacking in...sulfur, potassium, etc...

Yer pal,
Jim

Not much sulphur,  but I did play the tune with the guitar behind my head, wearing spandex & a cape with lightning stripe boots, doing the Chuck Berry duck walk ..........

Does that count?? :l2:

You owe me a Shiner Bock pal back, Jeff
