Title: Bipolar Gentlemen
Post by: RicharD on June 05, 2011, 03:20:09 pm
http://www.bipolargentlemen.com (http://www.bipolargentlemen.com)

I just uploaded our 6 song demo.  Check it out if you dare.  We ain't no R&B rock band.

This was recorded at home using a Motu 8pre into an ancient version of Samplitude.  It's a very DIY situation.  I even built the snake.  The guitar amp used is an offshoot of the Stout.  It's actually a Stereo Stout built from an old Silvertone console stereo.  The bass was recorded direct through the Kelsey Bass Preamp.  Check it out and gimme some feedback, even if you hate it.

Thanks!

How about "dyslexic gentlemen"?

I couldn't get your link to work, then noticed that you had mis-spelled "bipolar" (biploar) in the hyperlink....I fixed the spelling & all is well with the link now.

Now to actually listen to what you've got..........

The "outside my mind" is cool, I like bands that think outside the box!

There is a part that has a few bars that are the same as a song from Les Miserables, but that is all I heard.

Wow!  I really liked it all!  It sounds like Led Zep meets Bowie meets Punk!  Too cool!

Very good!  Took me a few seconds to recognize the automotive coil springs in the drummer's photo.  Freon canister is a nice touch as well.
Best wishes!

Modern car springs are powder coated and don't resonate.  Fortunately a friend of mine held onto the "heavy metals" for the past 25 years and has agreed to let us use them.  Here's a picture from back in the day when I was angry...... and skinny.

Excellent--it makes me want break out the bong and step outside my mind again. A passonate singer she is. Especially like 'I Stepped Outside My Mind Today' and 'Hold Me Off'. I had to work at listening to the lyrics--maybe you could put them on your site too. Congratulations--I know that being part of the band AND its sound engineer is a heck of a lot of work. Regards
