Title: Brock's Birthday Bash Bogen (a K15 hack)
Post by: DummyLoad on June 10, 2011, 03:53:50 am
bogen K15 hack - used doug's stout ckt. - tweaked LTPI for 5881. sounds really, really, nice. i added a switchable bypass cap to the second stage to get a bit more umph to push the 5881's a little harder and comp for the gain differential of the EL84 and 5881. since the drive requirements to push the 5881s requires more swing i used a lower tail resistor value, which also prompted me to keep balance of LTPI sections with dissimilar anode load resistors.

no pics - it's ugly as sin. just enjoy another graphical presentation of another spin on doug's handiwork.

it's a birthday gift for a friend who makes sound clips for us.
