Title: 5670 tubes
Post by: rzenc on June 10, 2011, 12:12:04 pm
Hi,
I would like to know if you guys have experience with this tube type and what are/were your impressions about it. I have some and was thinking about messing with them. They seem to be a good candidate for 12AU7 type of application???

Thanks in advance
Best regards

The amplification factor is about midway between a 12AU7 and a 12AY7. Might be a good low-gain tube for tweed input stages.

Thanks HBP!!!

I haven't noticed gain structure, however I did notice transconductance is around 5500uMHOS, which could be employed to achieve low impedance outputs via C.F.'s with around 180 Ohms.
I will give it a try on a FX loop.

Thanks!!
Best Regards
