Title: what to build with TSL122 parts?
Post by: bakerlite on June 24, 2011, 07:30:35 am
Just wondering what you guys would recommend?

Basically - have a power transformer - output transformer - tubes chassis, etc - the whole lot.

I want to build something else y gutting the circuit of the amp and starting afresh.

sound wise i am looking for gary moore/ thin lizzy , amps would be jcm45/800 or trainwreck sort of based amps but i am open to anything at all that gives the gary moore thin lizzy esque sound.

would rather a tried and tested circuit as i am not close to pioneering projects yet!

presence and reverb are a must.

does anything pop into mind?

i guess the limitations are the specs of the PT and OT for the tsl122 jcm2000.

thanks as always!

I just got one of thoses amps in this afternoon.  I used to working on them by now but every time i see one i just shake my head. Working on these amps is like going on a witch hunt to find which parts match the schematics and which ones dont. I havent opened it up yet

A plexi build sounds good. Big iron and chassis
