Title: LED stage lighting
Post by: RC_cola on June 25, 2011, 12:23:44 pm
A buddy brought me a Calumet 4 bank LED stage light with the green bank having most of the LED's not working. The LED's are arrainged on the pc board as two strings in series.

When first powered up they all come on then shrtly after the problem returns. The first LED of the string checked good with no load so I hit it with some cold shot and they all lite briefly. I replaced that LED with one I had on hand and its working fine now.

Where can I find an exact replacement LED for this? Its a clear lens emmitting green when energized. I get a 2.4 volt reading on my meter in diode check mode. The one I installed to test with has a 1.7 volt reading when checked.

Contact Calumet for LED part number/specs or even replacements.  If they do not support check out superbrightleds dot com.  They have a huge selection.

Good luck!

I got the name wrong, its Chauvet. I guess I had photo gear on my mind. I checked their website and it has an 800 number you can call for parts. 1-800-762-1084 press 4 if anyone may need to contact them as well.
