Don't laugh, that was my product line and we were sued. Sometimes those Darwin Awards are actually true.

I saw an episode of Mythbusters where they did a substitution of a live bullet for a fuse in a car... then created a short to see if it would set the bullet off. Wiring melted down and the bullet didn't go off. Then again, higher voltage and higher current, just might create what a car electrical system couldn't.
I personally will pass on that test outside of lab conditions. :think1:

ALL actual Darwin Awards are true and verified. Now, there are a lot of urban legends which are put up as contenders, but if Darwin can't verify them, they are rejected before they can even contend.

Yes. And as much as I love this story, it just an urban legend. In fact, "Incorrectly attributed to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, 25 July 1996. The Gazette issued a decisive statement denouncing this story as a hoax on October 17, 1997."
Everyone who can read, should read the Darwin Awards annually. It's really uplifting if you're feeling down.

Different case. Ours was an in-line fuse holder to a big thumper stereo. I saw the paperwork. Don't make me go into my lawyer rant again.... Oh well, now they can go sue Chine - yeah right. And we wonder why.... :dontknow:
