If I were to try VVR, I would probably use this one:

Any pot rated at 500 V or more is OK. I prefer to use Mil-spec 2 W models from Clarostat, PEC or Sfernice which offer a better safety margin and are more reliable.

what is VVR ?
VVR = Variable Voltage Regoulator
usually used to scale the B+ voltage of PI and Power Tubes to achieve overdrive sound also at low power output levels
may be used also to reduce the the voltage only to the Power Tubes, or to the complete amp, but this way of reduction are less used.
