Title: value of tweed overdrive special OD level pot
Post by: embotone on September 20, 2011, 04:20:42 pm
I have found a discrepancy in the value of the overdrive level pot in various schematics and layouts of the Tweed Overdrive Special.  Is it 250K or 2 meg?

I think some of the early versions used a 1meg, and 250k seems to be the final choice (but you could try even lower values, such as 100k, if you wanted to experiment).
In glancing thru the schems posted, I didn't see any with a 2meg(?)....the only thing I remember being 2meg was a crossline MV I tried for a while in an amp, but don't remember if it was the TOS or something else.

In the OD line up ......... I am using a 50k trim, 250k drive and level pots. No 1M.
