I built this amp for another fella. It's a Twin Reverb. Didn't stray too much from the original ab763 layout cause the owner really just wanted a clone.
The owner chose to have vintage 30's installed. EH 6L6's, with jj preamp tubes. Teflon wire used throughout. Heyboer OT, PT and choke. Cabinet came from mojo with the owner's preference of tweed and brown cloth. I think it looks quite classy.
Sounds very nice and twin reverby. I'm a little surprised how different this one sounds compared to my twin reverb, which was the first amplifier I ever built. I notice the volume on the new (tweed) amp creeps up slower on the pots as compared to mine which has a quicker ramp up on volume output. At first I thought maybe I used linear pots in my personal amp but I checked to be sure and they are log pots. It threw me for a loop at first but after several hours of a/bing, I am convinced it's mainly the difference between the different speakers, tubes and iron I used in each that contributes to the tonal differences. I used Weber 12F150's, winged c 6L6's and Weber iron in my personal amp. They both sound great, mine definitely has more of a meaner breakup.
It's fun to have them side by side and compare. All I am waiting for for this new amp is a batch of new Glacier nameplates and then I'll deliver the amp to Calgary.
I sure love building Fender clones. Always a fun project. Thought I'd share a little of what I've been up to lately. I've had some neat repairs come into the shop too.

Wow, really nice! Just curious, how do you like working with the teflon coated wire? Do you need different wire strippers or anything like that?
Thanks for posting the pictures!

This is the 4th or 5th amp I have used teflon wire in. I like working with teflon wire, it's pretty easy to strip with my klein strippers. I have had no problems with it. I just placed an order with Doug about a week ago to top up my stock of it.

Very nice job, TG! Tweed and Oxblood are always gorgeous (and Mojo cabs are very good quality, too).
Regarding the pots, if they are from different brands, they often have a different curve;it can explain why you don't get the same apparent volume for the same setup.
