Title: 12AT7 PI in place of AX...should i change component values?
Post by: 12AX7 on November 05, 2011, 03:32:22 pm
Same amp i was asking about before, and i found a T7 in place of the X7 i had in the PI makes a big improvement. However, should i change component values at the PI? Right now it has 2204 values and about 300V at the plates.

If you like it, let it be. Nothing will be harmed.

I just wanted to be sure it's optimal since it's not the perfect solution. If it were i wouldn't even ask, but it's close. So if it won't help to tweak i'll leave it alone. I was just under the impression they were suppose to be biased differently than an AX7.

Not necessary to change any components in the PI for a 12AT7, especially if its a LTP
