Could you use a 50k SPST pot in the trem circuit and wire it like the mod in Fender amp to turn the trem off and on to remove the trem circuit from the signal path for a slight gain boost? Pic below is what i am refering to

How does this tremelo function and differ from a Fender tremelo? I know there is an LDR involved here

Peavey uses a couple transistors to flash an LED in an opticoupler. Fender uses a tube to flash a neon bulb in a roach.
Peavey varies the intensity of the flashing LED to control the tremolo intensity. Fender flashes the neon bulb at a constant intensity, but varies the tremolo intensity by controlling the resistance on the LDR side of the roach.

Thanks Steve for the explanation. I dont use trem that much but was curious as to weather it had a gain loss affect in the amp
