When I've to think to a new amp turret layout my mind is always in confusion
to draw a layout is for me really an effort
so, I was thinking about this (my) problem and an idea come to me
why don't split the layout in single tube layout that can be mixed together to obtain the desired schematic ?
the idea is to have a group of single tube layout, (ideally) one for each different tube use/arrangement - something like Lego Brick
than compose the complete layout adding single elements
values of resistors and capacitors would be left blank and added when the whole layout is composed, in according with the schematic
Is this a feasible thing or is a stupid idea ?
might this be able to speed up the design of a layout by keeping out errors and distractions ?
if you think this is feasible have you any council about how to start this construction of layout pieces ?
THANKS

p.s.: I hope that Mr. Tubenit as layout expert come here and give its opinion

I do this for layouts and schematics with Visio. I have blocks - gain stage, cathode follower, cathodyne, ltpi, and so on - that I drag and drop. Speeds things up immensely. It also makes it easier to try out variations.

Yes I do this with JSchem. When I first do a sub-circuit (like a fender hi/lo input, or inverting gain stage, or CF, or SE output, or PP output etc etc) I group the sub-stage together and save it to the component library as a macro, which I can then download at any time

So it is a feasible thing
Thanks for the answer

Steal the better pieces of Fender layouts.
AA-Champ isn't bad.
Some of the later many-many tube amps are all tangled up.
