Title: Decision: HoSo/SoLow/56T or TOS

It's raining in the Northwest, and that means lots of shop time.  I am currently wiring up a 6V6 single ender with the AX84 Blues preamp, which is a 7199  pentode-first design  http://ax84.com/static/corepreamps/Blues/AX84_Blues_Preamp_Schematic.pdf (http://ax84.com/static/corepreamps/Blues/AX84_Blues_Preamp_Schematic.pdf)

Next I want to do something with the 5879, and I am debating between the pentode-first types like the HOSO and pentode overdrive types like the TOS.  Eventually I will probably build both, but I've got a lot of other projects and it may be a while. 
I've tried to listen to the available sound clips, and i think I will like either one, but can you guys help me narrow it down?

I'm with kagliostro, I built the original TOS and it was great.Then Tubenit went one better and improved it greatly.If you like all kinds of music you can't go wrong with this one.

I built mine a bit different than Ts and i'm wrapped, it has it all Clean, Crunch and wicked overdrive and tone to burn form dark to bright and cool to cookin. And i'll add smooth to nasty just for fun  :laugh: Tubenit also added in an other post "a tweakers amp" you'll love it.

They're all great amps!

I vote for the TOS (or TOS2CF). 

IF you do the HoSo56 use Geezer's psuedo channel switching schematic and layout.
