My amp guy wants to trade me for some of the old american preamp tubes I have and a couple of the vibrato boards from that organ. I pulled about 15 12AX7 and 6 or so 12AU7 for him. I still will have almost 20 of each.
I am trying to get a list together of tubes that would be nice to have in stock. Here is my list so far:
6l6 x4
6v6x4
EL84 x4
EL34 x4
EF86 or 6267 x2 or x4
6SL7 x4 or x6
KT88 or KT120 x2
5AR4 x2
I realize that I wont get all these for what I am giving him, but I am also not exactly sure what he has.
Anything I am missing?

You may want to try a 5879 that doesn't quite have as much gain as the ef86 but then usually not as microphonic either. Also, it would be appropriate/convienient as tubenit and others like using them in thier scems you can readily find here.

you will regret letting any number of the 12AX7 go. i'd give him 10 AX and 5 AU. that's around 200 bux worth of stuff on the used market - possibly more on fleabay. what are you getting in return?

edit:
aside from what you mention you have and what others have posted:
5U4G/B - used in some older and silverface fender amps.
5881/6L6GB - orig bassman et al.
6SC7 - older fender amps and PA amps.
6SN7/5692 - not very popular in guitar amps - but used in some older amps. RCA 5692 and 5691 fetch BIG $$$.
6SJ7/5693 - pentode - used in some older fender and valco amps.
6K6 - fender reverb unit.
6AV6/6AT6 - used in one fender i know of - quite a few PA amps.
6AU6 - used in "junk bin" amps & PA amps - cool tube but hard to tame gain.
12DW7/7247 - ampeg.
12BH7 - ampeg.

I have over 30 of the AX and thats what he is really looking for, but I appreciate your point. I will have to reduce that number. In return I am getting all the tubes for the 3 builds I have planned, and a few extra for stock.
