Ever since I've seen this guitar, I keep going back and looking and reading about it. It's an el-cheapo but boy it sure is cool---SX Liquid SJM-62--you can get them with tunamatic/stop tail or
a Jazzmaster type whammy with roller bridge. I think I'm going to have to go ahead and get one so I can get over it and move on.
Take a look at the link and picture and let me know what you think? Platefire

That's quite interesting, actually. Although I have never been much of a fan of Jazzmasters (I just sold a 1965 olympic white one, but then I am selling all my vintage guitars) the necks from 1964-1965-1966 are THE BEST Fender necks ever created, IMHO. The neck on the 65 J-master I sold was hands down, no contest, the best pre-CBS Fender neck I have ever handled and I have bought and sold hundreds and hundreds of Strats over the past 30+ years. Pure butter.
Secondly, there are lots of people for whom the P-90 is flat out their favorite pickup. I have played strats exclusively for many years and I have no opinion on that topic. I used to play Les Paul Jr's with single P-90 and I had a white SG special w/2 P-90's but that was decades ago. I just have no recent experience with them.
Thirdly, tell me where you can find a P-90 pickup on a 25.5" scale guitar (which I assume this is) other than.....what, a 1956-1958 L5 or maybe a 1949-1956 ES-350 ....? And I am completely unaware of a solid body 25.5" guitar with P-90's.
So I think you are quite justified being interested in the guitar. Pretty cool looking, IMHO!

Hi eleventeen
I'm glad someone agrees with me. I'm more of a traditional/conventional guitar shape man like LP shape or strat shape but this shape I like. The playability and sound from the reviews I read is pretty good. The only thing that bothers me about it is when you get ready to take a break and sit it in a stand--with that shape it's not going to happen. You would have to lay it down flat or hang it on the wall  so that kind of holds me back. Platefire

Just do yourself a favor, and don't trade in anything you'll regret for that guitar.

I just played one today with the Jaguar style bridge. The bridge was the biggest drawback- not comfortable at all for my style of playing- rough with allen screws sticking up. (I didn't use the vibrato bar). Those p-90s sound ok, but are very noisy (vintage!) The fit and finish of the guitar is otherwise good. A good roller bridge would help, as would flipping one of the p-90s around to get at least a little noise cancellation on the mid position.

Also, if you get any guitar with a Jazzmaster/Jaguar style tremolo, you should really look seriously at getting a Mastery Bridge (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.masterybridge.com%2F&ei=vjfkTrOQOZDCgAfb4OHtBQ&usg=AFQjCNHvigD-Uf-jNCiARKz1fqZVyRLLpg) for it. (Full disclosure, I know the guy who owns Mastery, but I have no involvement in the company.) It is the only thing I've found that actually makes those trems work.

It would be quiet an investment to buy a nice quality Jazzmaster trem for that ax. The neck, body and pickups would really have to measure up to warrent it. I might be better to get one with the tuneomatic/stop bar setup. Thanks P Batty for your assesment of it. Usually you get what you pay for. The guitar looks good from a distance but the devil could be in the details. Platefire

It looks pretty cool to me. Go give it a few test drives.
I own two Parker guitars. Bought one in 1995. So I'm probably not a good judge when it comes to conventional.

Yeah, but those early Parker guitars were fantastic! Maybe not conventional, but damn they are nice.
Well, except for that pointy bit that digs into my sternum every time I try to put one on a strap!

I looked at the website- it appears that their Jaguar style bridge has now been replaced by a roller bridge. That would be a pretty cool setup, but personally I'm not fond of the noise from the p-90s, it was just as bad as my old LP Special. If you can live with it, I'd say go for it! The cool thing about the Jag vibrato is the long string lengths beyond the bridge- odd harmonics galore! I'd look at the three pickup model with 5 way switching, although that's more $.

I've pretty much cooled off on the SX Liquid. It seems doing this post was good to help me see I really don't need it. I don't need to get another ax but need to thin my herd out some. I have about 10 electrics now. Platefire :dontknow:
