Hi,
I have started to build ''thrash amps'', built into old defective amps that clients bring to me. I can build a new circuit from A to Z , or just modify them, according to my clients's needs.
This amp was a TRAYNOR YBA1A, and I used the PT that had the same specs as an old Marshall from early eighties to build a 50W 2 X EL34 rock amp ( that really rocks ). No tone stack ( I NEVER use one ). Just a volume, master volume, fat boost switch and presence control. With the preamp volume at 10, I can't go over 3 on the MV without having the cops arriving here to the complaints of my poor neighbours.....WHAT A TONE !
Rich harmonics, nice overtones, loud and loud for a 50 W. This is a beast that I put for sale in the guitarist community here I have too many amps ..and I am a poor guitarist, loving more music than..........money, all the opposite of my wife hey hey hey ).
Regards
Colas

What the heck are these guys talkin about? :w2: :think1:
Brad
-

Uh Oh, now I did it!

( Where are you from ? ).
-
I think they're talking about some new boutique caps made in France. :icon_biggrin:

Hello Brad , Willabe, time for you to know and use Google translate.
Merry Chrismas to you guys.

Tres beaux ampli. J'aimerais ca voire l'endedans.
Excuse my french spelling, it's been awhile (of course I have my problems with english too) :dontknow:
-
your french is not too bad, with a couple of years of french speaking, you'd get it right..........
I love recycling things. Giving them a second life. All old amps are still good ( well, almost, if they have not been smashed or dropped from the third floor on the concrete sidewalk ). Why buy a new amp ? Bring your old to a tech and he'll do one for you, with more warranty, point-to-point wiring, with the mods you ask, a personnalize amp with lots of tone. That is what I am devoted to, now. Recycling old amps.

Why buy a new amp ? More easy to buy new than to find a good tech.
