Title: 5f6A Board Choke Connection
Post by: Ed_Chambley on December 21, 2011, 09:42:23 pm
In the schematic lower line where the filter caps connect, B+ I assume it shows the line through the choke,  Should the wire be broken where it attaches to the choke and begin again at the point where the choke makes its reconnection.  In other words, there should be no connection between the choke as the choke is part of the rail not just connected to it.

Yes, the choke is in series with the B+ supply. B+ goes in one side of the choke and out the other side.

Yes. Look at the pic again. I have just removed the line under the choke to make the connection points more apparent. The choke is wired in series

Thanks, It wouldn't make sense to me not to be attached this way, but looking at the layout Doug has posted it looks even more like it is parallel.  I don't know what would happen if it were attached that way, probably just bypass it.

Looks like all I have left is connecting the OT speaker outs and it is time hook her up to the bulb limiter.  Thanks for the help.
