I finally got around to recording a song to demo the Tweed Overdrive Special 2CF. This has the mosfet CF on the clean channel and a triode CF following the 5879. Amp is very quiet at idle also.
Ignore the mediocre playing, please.
I purposely recorded it from clean to somewhat clean to slightly overdriven to more overdriven. I think the recording does a decent job showing each of those. I feel like I am getting some pretty smooth OD and nice contrast to the clean.

The overdrive has ALOT more overdrive to be dialed in. The trim was on 5, OD drive on 3.5 and OD level on 3.

Man your playing has improved a lot. Plus there is some emotion (unlike 95 percent of amateur clips).
Tone sounds great when you start overdriving.

Thanks for the nice comment! It is greatly appreciated. This is a fun amp.
Here is a slow blues version. Same amp, guitar, cab & settings.

And another one:
Last one for a while ............................
Same everything. Slight OD .............. clean with alot of delay ................... more OD with mid pickup ................. more OD with bridge p.u.

Tweed Overdrive Special, a really beat up wah pedal that I almost never use and lots of delay in the mix. :icon_biggrin:
Just fooling around here and wanted to do a psuedo Isley Bros-ish type tune.

While I certainly don't think this is "good" guitar playing ............ I will say it's kinda fun to use alot of effects and have it sound like I almost know what I am doing.

I missed this post somehow
Sounds great Jeff
Have to agree with Gorn, sounds like you have been woodshedding
Your playing is sounding great

This was another Isleyish Brotherish type effort. It came out too compressed & too repeatitious, but I like the groove of the tune anyway & I had fun with it.
