I wonder if Hendrix would have used one to play Machine Gun if they were available at the time?

The top of everybody's head would have come off if Hendrix whipped out one of these at one of the Band of Gypsys concerts.

Yes, no doubt
Always has been my favorite guitar solo of all time
One long note is enough to slay you

This version is much better IMO
There were two shows that night (12/31/69) and this version is the one that made the album Band of Gypsys

Bad video quality but it seems some of the better ones have been removed from you tube
There used to be some good quality versions on youtube
Maybe the Hendrix estate is making them remove them.

Yes, that's the album version and the best one, IMO

I was up at 5 am this morning.
Nothing like Hendrix doing machine gun and coffee at 5:15am  :laugh:
