WOW!
14 mos since I was employed last.
Going to fill out all the paperwork in a few minutes.
I was sure I failed the test, the interview went great, but that test!
One page was simple mathmatics, story problems like a worker makes 20 widgets an hour yadda yadda.
The next was electrical,... no problem right?
well one part I had to identify schematic symbols, SCR.. got it, Transformer.. check FOOT switch? pressure operated switch? fluid level switch? thermal switch??
I mean a switch is a switch! without context it's impossible!
The next was hydraulics. I've read lots of hydraulic schematics, never seen ANY of the symbols they used.
LOL any how my WAG's (wild ass guess's) must have been all right.. LOL or thier standards must be kinda low :icon_biggrin:
Any how Its a union shop, great pay, benefits and all that.
WOO HOO! gainfully employed again!

Thanks Fella's
I'm a Machinery Repairman by trade again.
Because my last 2 jobs were with tier1 suppliers (with over 23,000hrs total) I'll cut my apprenticeship hours from 2000 to 250 AFTER my 90 days of hire. I'll finally get my Journeyman's card. That is if I understand how that works exactly.
Doesn't matter to me, as long as I get that card! Once I get the card the pay tier will be almost $10k/yr more.
I'll finally get the chance to finish my shop, Have a nice ceiling in it, new bulbs in the bay lighting, an air compressor in the same room as my dust collector that I can hook to the pneumatic plumbing that's already there and I've been wanting a nice big drum sander for guitar bodies!
Hehehe! I'll be able to get tools again!
Thanks for the Cheers guys, That means a lot!.... and yes Pete, first round is on me! :occasion14:
