Title: 80's EH-4800 SMALL STONE PHASE SHIFTER (POT, POWER SUPPLY)
Post by: Julio Emilio Jimenez Nava on February 14, 2012, 01:34:30 pm
Hi everyone! :icon_biggrin:

I have some questions about this EH pedal.
Photobucket Album: http://photobucket.com/eh4800 (http://photobucket.com/eh4800)

PCB - EH-4800
        TCI-A4H 94HB

POT - P0200
         1378048

Dating the pot was not a problem, but the pot's shaft is broken, so I think the best option is to replace it
with a same value & quallity pot ... about the value I'm unsure it reads 100 OHM but I can't tell if it is a linear,
audio or reverse audio pot. Any clue on which is the correct replacement for this one? Where I can get it?

My other issue is those 2 resistors that were added in the back of the PCB ... It seems that someone changed
the one that is conected to the power supply and left the old one in its place ... about the other I'm clueless ... :help:

And finally the power supply ... the case says AC, contrary to the usual 9V DC ... can I use a common 9V battery? what about a common battery eliminator? I don't think this will fit & work (http://www.ehx.com/products/96v-ac-dc-power-supply (http://www.ehx.com/products/96v-ac-dc-power-supply)) and it seems someone removed the battery receptacle ..  :w2:

So if any one has repaired/serviced a EH.4800 please give some input about this 30 year-old SMALL STONE.

all the best, Emilio.
