I recently got a Dremel Drill Press -- discontinued old Model #210. Research shows the new Dremel "Workstations", which look like a drill press, are too wobbly for precise work. The 210 is precise. It just needed a good cleaning. On this model, the head assembly is moved into position on the upright post; then fixed in place. The table is raised/lowered with a knob to bring the workpiece to the bit. The table can also be locked in place with another knob. A 3rd knob limits the amount of travel. I fashioned a wooden work table to protect the stock aluminum table. So far, I used it to drill screw holes in an aluminuim backplate I fashioned for an old Univox LP copy. The drill press works like a charm and is a pleasure to use for small tasks. Now for an extended set of bits!
Caveat: The #210 press fits only the 260, 270 & 280 rotary tool models. I suspect from web photo's that it also fits the #380-5. It does not fit my Sears Craftsman branded #275 equivalent rotary tool. I contacted Dremel and they may, or may not, :dontknow: be sending me an adapter! Meanwhile I bought a #270 rotary tool to complete this project.
