Title: 68k resistor on Modtone wah controls wah sound?
Post by: frank57 on March 04, 2012, 02:38:42 pm
I drew up this Modtone vintage wah  and I think r5 68k controls the wah sound near the inductor and q1.
Am I right? I tried a 33k there just to see what happens.

Also what is Q3 for? Is it an input buffer?
I thought this was a true bypass pedal.
Other odd thing is they used 270k for r6 instead of the usual 470k for the voltage divider.Any reason for that?
I put in some ero caps here and there and that has improved the transition from high to low.(smoother)

A schematic would be nice.
