Okay it is done. I may have a few more minor tweaks in the future but I can't think of anything else I'd like to change.
Since it's going thru a homemade MDF sealed 15" cab, the speaker response needs to be dialed in some to get the right amount of tight bass vs woofiness. I think a 2nd 15" cab will be beneficial. But there is a wide range of useful settings. Bass sounds real good. With a guitar you can get a real good feel for the difference in the 2 channels; both sound phenomenal.
The B25b sounds more tweedy/wooden.
This is the only 5F6a-esque amp I've played thru so it may not be representative of the real thing, but I like it. I read somewhere that it's not a great bass amp design but this one is nice & deep.

This time for real. I halved the values of the PI and 5F6a 1st stage coupling caps, after trying the head thru some commercial cabs at Guitar Center.
I had to waylay a wandering bass player & he gave me his opinion of how the amp sounded. He was suspicious of me but helpful.
I've desided to build a fEARFUL cab to get the most out of this thing. Guitar amps are so much easier!

Phew, looks like a lot of work! Glad you like it! :occasion14:
Think I'll keep working on my little 12 watters for a while yet.

If you are going fEARful, you will notice details you never suspected.
One of the things you will notice is what happens when you don't quite
raise your fingers enough and drag them over round wound strings.
It will force you to improve.
Good enough will no longer be good enough.

I'll get flatwounds. :think1:
