Title: RIP Jim Marshall
Post by: norstroms on April 05, 2012, 12:48:46 pm
Pardon my newbie-ness, I wasn't sure if this had already been posted to another section of the forum. If this is inappropriate, moderator please delete topic.

Since this is the most used section of this forum, I thought this would be the place to pay respects to Jim Marshall, who has passed away today (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Marshall_(businessman)).  A little genuflecting smiley emoticon doesn't do any justice here. A tip of the hat to you, sir.

Here's an article from Paste (http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2012/04/jim-marshall-1948---2012.html), and here's the AP article (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/he-shaped-the-sound-of-rock-and-roll-jim-marshall-founder-of-marshall-amplification-dies/2012/04/05/gIQAzUJGxS_story.html).

Bad photoshop job, by the way.  Funny, but fake.

these are very recognizable from the front because of the black part above the castors. they have hinges between the 2 'cabs' to fold them and if that part wasn't there the 'head' would hit the floor. you can connect the pilot lights on these :icon_biggrin:
