Played a date last week in a newly renovated cafe-style venue, they had some dim-able recessed ceiling lights that had a very nice quality of light & were really bright when they were turned up all the way. At first I didn't even realize they were LED's. These particular units had 4 LED's per can.
I did the Google but there are a million variations with prices from $20 to $150 for units that looked to be very similar.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of light or suggestions on how to sort out what I'm looking at &/or what to look for?

you are right - there are zillions of variations. I'd suggest from square one, rather than working backwards;
What do you need
- how much light
- dimensions
- weight
- budget
- etc
I know many LED light factories in SZ...................
