Title: OT wire twist in 5E3 build
Post by: olgoat on April 23, 2012, 04:43:48 pm
I searched around on wire twists but am not clear on what if any wire twisting should be done with OT leads in a 5E3 build.  The OT is a P-TP22913 12w  8 ohm.   There 5 leads.  Blk/green to the output jacks and Brown/Red/Blue .  I am guessing that the Red to the Standby switch stays by itself, the brown and blue to the 6v6s get twisted together and the green and black to the output jacks get twisted together?

I am using a choke as well. Should those two leads be twisted?

Thanks for you thoughts on the matter.

I twist all the wires in the manner you describe in 5E3-type builds. I do it less for "hum reduction" reasons and more for neatness in routing the wiring.

I like to run the Red with the Blue/Brown as far as I can before spliting it off, if possible.
