The "jazz tubes" are playing in blackface? Yep, that's 50's Germany, alright...

I had a Telefunken radio when I was in Germany in the early 50s.  Great fidelity too...

The illustration of the microphone at the beginning is Telefunken too.  As good as Tele - tubes were, their microphones were better.  Still considered the best by most studio buffs.
